NetApp FAS2050 Earns Top Score in Network World’s 2009 Best of the Tests Awards

Sunnyvale, CA - February 27, 2009 - NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that the FAS2050 received the highest score in the Storage category of Network World's 2009 Best of the Tests awards. Citing consistently higher performance, a mix of NAS and SAN features, high availability, and NetApp® Snapshot™ capabilities, Network World's Lab Alliance members named the FAS2050 the best of the 12 systems they tested during year-long trials.

"NetApp is proud to accept this award from Network World," said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Solutions Marketing at NetApp. "Winning the Best of the Tests award over a wide field of competitors succinctly illustrates the value the FAS2050 provides our customers with enterprise-level capabilities such as thin provisioning and Snapshot copies, all in a unified, cost-effective package."

The 2009 "Best of the Tests" Awards were bestowed by Network World upon a select few products in enterprise networking categories that registered the top performance spots in its hands-on testing program during 2008: the best of the best. In all, Network World tested and reported on hundreds of enterprise products in that time frame, selecting 13 winners.
