NetApp Receives Aberdeen Group’s Industry Achievement Award for Service Excellence
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - October 9,
2008 - NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that it has
been named a recipient of the Service Management Achievement Award
for Executive Stewardship by the Aberdeen Group. Aberdeen selected
NetApp for this award based on research and evaluation of NetApp's
services and support business performance during the last 12
months.
According to Aberdeen's independent industry
research, NetApp employed industry benchmark service leadership
that drove noteworthy performance improvements during the period
2005 to 2007 in both strategic and operational categories of the
services and support business. Specific best-in-class improvements
were noted in areas including time to resolve, cost per case,
same-day resolution rates, customer satisfaction, and support tools
and automation.
Award nominees are derived from 12 months of
Aberdeen research, and are categorized for achievement in 1 of 5
areas: innovation in technology, performance excellence, process
excellence, business evolution, or executive stewardship in the
global supply management arena. Global service officers gathered at
the annual Chief Service Officer's Summit hosted by the Aberdeen
Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE:HHS), where recipients of these
awards were acknowledged on October 2 and 3 in San Francisco,
California.

recipient of this award, which recognizes SSPA Member Support
Centers that excel and provide superior customer service. NetApp
was recently inducted into the SSPA STAR Award "Hall Of Fame." In
addition, NetApp's Technical Support Center achieved certification
under the prestigious Service Capability & Performance (SCP)
Standards.
