NetApp President and COO Tom Georgens and NetApp Experts to Drive Industry Discussions at Storage Networking World Spring 2008

Orlando, Florida - April 1, 2008 -- NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) will have a strong presence at Storage Networking World (SNW) Spring 2008, including a general session by Tom Georgens, NetApp president and COO, on the economics of storage. NetApp will present eight other speaking sessions, moderate a panel discussion on storage security, and provide storage and data management demonstrations. SNW takes place April 7-10 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
NetApp demonstrates innovative storage and data management solutions.

  • A popular program offered at SNW, the hands-on lab (HOL), provides the IT end-user attendee the opportunity to try the latest technologies in a classroom setting that raises skill levels through personal discovery and hands-on experience. NetApp will be participating in the HOL "Configuring IP SANs."
  • NetApp will collaborate with the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) in booth 407 demonstrating 8 Gigabit Fibre Channel (8GFC) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE).
  • NetApp will host over a dozen in-depth discussions of storage solutions for virtualization, data protection, disaster recovery, and more in the NetApp Lounge, located in St. John's room 30 on the second floor.

During a special ceremony at the conference, SNW will announce the Best Practice Awards. NetApp customers Tucson Electric Power and Sprint Nextel are both finalists in the category of "Innovation and Promise." Tucson Electric Power is also a finalist in the "Storage Reliability and Data Recovery" category. Winners will be announced on April 9.
