Reconnex Joins the Network Appliance™ Partner Program

Mountain View, CA. - June 20, 2006 -- Reconnex, the expert in electronic risk protection, today announced that it is now a member of the NetApp Partner Program. As a member of the NetApp Partner Program, Reconnex will tightly integrate the iGuard appliance, which monitors all traffic crossing the network, with NetApp SnapLock® compliance software, helping users migrate sensitive content from the appliance's short-term storage to NetApp enterprise storage solutions for tamper-proof long-term archival.

Reconnex iGuard is the only content-monitoring appliance with electronic risk protection capabilities that allow enterprises to capture, classify, analyze, and temporarily store all network content; perform historical analysis on the captured content to detect unknown threats; and correlate with known threats. Only the iGuard provides 100 percent visibility into network use because it monitors all information entering and leaving the corporate network. Reconnex iGuard currently works seamlessly with NetApp storage systems to help customers meet their needs for long-term storage. In addition, Reconnex customers can take advantage of the Decru DataFort™ appliance, which automatically encrypts content as it moves through the network, to gain another layer of security.

"Collaborating with NetApp provides our customers with the ability to seamlessly archive information from the Reconnex iGuard," said Kevin Cheek, vice president of product management at Reconnex. "Long-term storage of data helps us comply with regulatory standards for data archiving and allows us to analyze network traffic over time to detect previously unknown data security threats."

"The Reconnex iGuard is highly effective in protecting the privacy of SIRVA's data," said Chuck Shmayel, vice president, infrastructure and security, SIRVA, Inc. "But I also needed to look at the full lifecycle of information-how to maintain it, keep it, and archive it. Reconnex's partnership with NetApp fills that need."

"NetApp is in the business of simplifying data management in the data center and in remote offices to help customers with their primary storage, data protection, compliance, and archival needs," said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Products and Alliances at Network Appliance. "We designed the NetApp Partner Program to foster collaboration with companies like Reconnex, to provide customers with the flexibility of choice and the confidence that their solution will work seamlessly once deployed."
