Global Travel Services Company Selects Secure Computing and Network Appliance for Internet Access and Security

San Jose and Sunnyvale, Calif. - November 19, 2003 -- Secure Computing Corporation (NASDAQ: SCUR), the experts in protecting the most important networks in the world, and Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), a leading provider of enterprise network storage solutions, today announced that Interval International ( www.intervalworld.com), an operating business of InterActiveCorp (NASDAQNM: IACI), formerly known as USA Interactive, has selected Secure's SmartFilter® Web-filtering software running On-Box™ on NetApp NetCache appliances as its global standard for secure, high-performance Web content filtering and delivery. Interval International chose SmartFilter and NetCache over their previous solution because it provides the flexibility needed to implement its unique Internet usage policy that denies employee access to specific Web sites or coaches users within their browser sessions about acceptable usage standards and better serve their more than 1.5 million members.

Interval International's core of success is its ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction by providing up-to-the-minute access to current travel information. Interval International provides its members from around the world with 24-hour access to a variety of exchange services and other exciting benefits to enhance their vacation experiences.

"Our business demands extreme Web filtering flexibility. The NetApp NetCache Internet access and security solution provides an easy-to-use interface for integrating access control rules with SmartFilter content categories so that changes can be made on-the-fly," said Sasan Hamidi, chief security officer at Interval International. "In addition, SmartFilter's reporting capabilities alert us to activities that might impede optimal performance. By using this information to optimize the SmartFilter and NetApp solution for performance we have already achieved a 25% response-time improvement."

Interval International is running SmartFilter on NetApp NetCache appliances, enabling it to build and enforce its unique Web-usage policy. While SmartFilter's International control list continuously categorizes millions of Web sites into content groups, including pornography, gambling, and MP3 files, its Cyfin® Reporter generates a detailed analysis of all Web-surfing activity. Both are seamlessly integrated onto the NetApp NetCache content delivery appliances, enabling Interval to pinpoint usage areas they want blocked in order to increase productivity and recapture network bandwidth.

"The NetApp Internet access and security solution, including the tightly integrated SmartFilter software, provides enterprise customers such as Interval International with a single platform to reduce costs and improve the security of its Internet access infrastructure," said Amit Pandey, vice president and general manager, Content Delivery Business Unit at Network Appliance. "Our integrated solution increases network reliability and performance and helps preserve the integrity of mission-critical Web applications for Interval employees around the world."

"SmartFilter's superior On-Box design and highly accurate international control list has made it the de facto standard for filtering at the edge of the network," said Chris Peterson, vice president of OEM and channel sales at Secure Computing. "SmartFilter running on the NetApp NetCache appliance provides global organizations like Interval International with a cost-effective tool to ensure safe, productive use of the Internet."
