Partners Demonstrate the First Encrypted Records Management Solution for Federal Agencies

What:

At the ARMA conference beginning October 19, Decru, KVS Inc., MDY Advanced Technologies, Inc. and Network Appliance, Inc. will demonstrate a joint solution that integrates Decru DataFort™ storage security appliance, KVS Enterprise Vault®, MDY Advanced Technologies FileSurf® records-management software running on Network Appliance enterprise storage solutions, to achieve U.S. Department of Defense 5015.2-STD certification for electronic records management applications. The joint solution features military-grade encryption and file shredding on Oracle® and Microsoft® SQL Server databases that run on Network Appliance™ primary FAS (fabric-attached storage) and NearStore® nearline storage systems.

The DoD 5015.2-STD certification is a records management application (RMA) test with rigorous requirements for systematic control of the creation, maintenance, use, reproduction, and deletion of records. The highly secure records-management solution enables government and business users to manage information storage more easily and cost-effectively while meeting stringent data protection and shredding regulations designed to increase national security and minimize legal and intelligence risks.
