Network Appliance Named "Innovator of the Year 2002"

December 5, 2002 -- Network Appliance, a leading provider of enterprise storage solutions, has been recognized with the award "Innovator of the Year 2002". The German-speaking publication CAD/CAM honored the NetApp F87 as 2002's most innovative storage solution.

With a circulation of 19,500, CAD/CAM has been one of the leading magazines for CAx-technologies since its foundation in 1981. The title "Innovator of the Year 2002" was introduced this year and awarded in twelve categories: CAD systems, CRT monitors, digital mock up, FTP displays, input peripheral devices, plotters/printers, product data management, storage, video cards, viewers, virtual reality, and workstations. A jury including five journalists from different CAD/CAM publications selected the winners.

"The NetApp F87 is a scalable, reliable, and easy-to-manage storage solution that has been developed for small companies and remote offices," said Karl Obermann, chief editor of CAD/CAM and a member of the jury. "Today, data is inexorably increasing and CAx data is no exception. Thanks to the NetApp F87, customers can invest less money in storage and take advantage of an ideal solution for secure data management."
