Speakers

Joel Reich

  • Executive Vice President, Product Operations
Joel is executive vice president of Product Operations at NetApp. He is responsible for overseeing the strategy and development of the NetApp product and solutions portfolio, and has over 30 years of product and technology management experience in the storage industry. Previously, Joel served as NetApp’s senior vice president of the Hyperscale Storage Group. There he oversaw the object storage strategy and products, the integration of the E-Series products into NetApp, and NetApp OnCommand Insight software. Before that time, he served in various NetApp Data ONTAP engineering leadership roles. In his new role, Joel leads the advancement of the NetApp portfolio of innovation and drives delivery of the Data Fabric strategy, products, and solutions.

Gabriel Chapman

  • Principal Architect, Office of the CTO
Gabriel is a principal architect in the Office of the CTO for SolidFire. A five-time VMware vExpert, Gabriel has specialized in storage and virtualization technologies over the last decade. His primary area of expertise revolves around storage, data center virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, rack scale and hyper scale computing, the Cloud, DevOps, and enterprise infrastructure design. Today, he focuses on engagement with NetApp’s top-tier customers and partners.

Ravi Kavuri

  • Vice President and Chief Architect, Data ONTAP
Ravi Kavuri is the VP, Chief Architect of Data ONTAP at NetApp. In addition, he manages the team responsible for ONTAP data management including File system, High Availability, RAID and Performance teams. Ravi joined NetApp in 2007 as the CTO of the emerging products group. Prior to joining NetApp, Ravi served as a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, working on scalable storage systems and long term archival storage. Ravi joined Sun Microsystems as a part of the StorageTek acquisition, where he worked on file systems, long term retention of data, and storage networking as a StorageTek Fellow. He holds a BS degree in Electronics and Telecommunications and an MS in Software Engineering.
