Upgrade Platform: FAS8040

The IBM N7900 (also known as FAS6080, FAS6080A, V6080, V6080A) storage controller is available in both A11 and A21 models to fit the needs of enterprise-level organizations seeking outstanding reliability, high data access speeds and low maintenance requirements. It also features Fibre Channel, NAS and iSCSI compatibility.

Overview

Each model available with IBM’s N7900 storage controller offers unique advantages. The A11 model is a single-node unit, while the A21 is an active/active dual-node unit featuring failover protection. Both offer high data throughput speeds, and are easily upgradeable (the A11 can be upgraded to the A21 model very easily as well).
