  • Will my certification expire?
NetApp University certifications are valid for two years from the date of your exam. To renew your certification, you must complete the re-certification requirements for the specific exam or progress to the next level of certification before your certification expires. As long as you maintain the higher-level certification and recertify before the higher-level certification expires, you do not ever have to re-certify or retake the lower-level certification exam. The expiration date for the lower-level exam will be the same as the expiration date of the higher-level certification exam. If you allow your higher-level certification to expire, you will have to go back and re-certify - starting with the lower-level certification before moving back to the higher-level certification.

You can check your certification expiration dates and current recertification requirements via the NetApp University Certification Database.

Digital photos may be used to assure employers that the person presenting the certification credential is the same individual who took the exam. Likewise, employees are given peace of mind knowing that their credentials are protected. Furthermore, this initiative will help to ensure that NetApp certifications maintain their value within the marketplace.
    • How will test taker personal information be stored?
Both NetApp and Pearson VUE employ rigorous measures to ensure data privacy. Although IT testing is a significant part of Pearson VUE’s business, the company also routinely delivers a variety of other high-stakes exams – everything from medical board licensing exams to the GMAT.
