provider of wireless and digital hearing aid technologies, is
relying on NetApp NearStore VTL technology to augment and improve
the reliability and efficiency of its legacy physical tape backup
process. Phonak AG, based in Switzerland, produces cutting-edge
hearing aid technologies and products for professionals working
with hearing-impaired people to increase speech understanding and
easy and effective communication. The company selected NetApp
NearStore VTL to benefit from cost-effective disk-to-disk backup
and recovery and management simplicity.
NearStore VTL storage systems seamlessly plug into multivendor
storage environments, appearing to be physical tape systems.
Utilizing a NetApp NearStore VTL will help to significantly
accelerate Phonak AG's backup and restore process, while greatly
simplifying the overall management of disk-to-disk data
protection.
