2010: NetApp has been formally recognised within the
channel industry by being announced Vendor of the Year 2010, at
last night's 2010 CRN Awards in Battersea. The company beat off
competition from Oracle, IBM and Citrix Systems to be named number
one in recognition of its contribution to business development in
the channel, through the introduction of new products, channel
marketing programmes and building out partner professional
service.
"We are delighted to receive this award and
we are very pleased that our ongoing efforts in bringing innovative
products to the market have been acknowledged," said Pete Rawden,
Partner Sales Director UK & Ireland, NetApp. "Understanding our
partners has informed the structure of our Partner Programme and
the way information and knowledge is shared, enabling our partners
to most effectively source, position and sell NetApp solutions.
This award proves that our strategy has worked."
During 2010 NetApp released ground breaking
announcements, the biggest in the company's history. Emerging from
the announcements in November, NetApp revealed a new product line
incorporating new technologies that will allow businesses to
further improve their IT efficiency and create a flexible, shared
IT infrastructure and enable IT to be an accelerator for any
business.
NetApp has invested in its Partner Programme
equally to protect its partners, attract new ones and give them
necessary support to negotiate and exploit changing economic
conditions.
