NetApp and Symantec bring years of collaboration and expertise to SnapVault for NetBackup–a unique disk-to-disk data protection solution integrating Veritas® NetBackup™ 6.0 with NetApp NearStore® secondary storage and SnapVault software. SnapVault for NetBackup is a solution that minimizes backup failures, reduces capacity consumption, and simplifies recoveries for any storage environment.

NetBackup streams data directly to NearStore to optimize performance without complex tuning. NetBackup and SnapVault identify and eliminate redundant data blocks to consolidate hundreds of backups using minimal storage.
