Fibre Channel-Bibliotheken
Zahlreiche Bibliotheken mit Fibre Channel-Schnittstellen verwenden eine Kombination aus Fibre- und/oder SCSI-Bandgeräten. Wenn die Bibliothek von NetApp durch ein bestimmtes Bandgerät unterstützt wird, werden die oben in der Matrix als SCSI aufgeführten Geräte ebenfalls unterstützt, sofern der Zugriff über die Fibre Channel-Schnittstelle der Bibliothek erfolgt. Bibliotheken mit Fibre Channel-Schnittstelle, die über eine Switch-Verbindung unterstützt werden, werden auch ohne Switch unterstützt. Wenn die Geräte in der Bibliothek direkt mit der Storage Appliance verbunden sind (d. h. nicht über ein Bridge-Gerät in der Bibliothek), werden nur die Schnittstellen in der Matrix unterstützt.
SCSI-Bibliotheken
Die SCSI-Spezifikation wird von NetApp Filern unterstützt, sodass jedes der SCSI-Spezifikation entsprechende Bibliotheksprodukt mit Ihrem Filer funktioniert. Fragen Sie sich Ihren Backup-Softwarehersteller, welche Bibliotheken/Geräte von seinen Produkten unterstützt werden.
