SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA —
NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announces the appointment of Steve Manley from within the company’s own ranks as managing director of NetApp Australia and New Zealand.
Manley, who has worked with NetApp since 2008 as Northern Region sales manager, will be responsible for defining the strategy and direction of NetApp’s local business, with senior management in both countries reporting to him. He will be instrumental in driving sustained growth of the business by ensuring NetApp continues to deliver innovative and customised solutions that enable flexible, scalable and reliable data infrastructures.
“Steve brings a tremendous wealth of experience and leadership. He is well positioned to uphold NetApp’s reputation as an innovator in the IT landscape, especially in helping customers realise the benefits of Clustered ONTAP and achieve unlimited performance, infinite scale, and non-disruptive operations. Clustered ONTAP is NetApp's biggest innovation to date and our investments around this will continue to help customers transform their businesses,” said Simon Green, senior vice president and general manager, NetApp Asia Pacific.
“NetApp has an inspiring vision and a strong company culture that ensures the people are at the centre of the organisation. I’m looking forward to leading the NetApp team as we continue to work alongside our technology and channel partners to drive genuine business success for our customers with tailored solutions that meet their unique needs,” said Manley.
NetApp also announces that Glenn McPherson and Duncan Meyer have been appointed Southern Region manager and Southern Region professional services manager, respectively.
“Glenn and Duncan possess exceptional vision, enthusiasm and a strong understanding of customer IT challenges. These qualities will lend well to determining not only how NetApp meets the current needs of our customers in ANZ, but also ensuring we are leading the way towards the opportunities of tomorrow,” said Manley.
As Southern Region manager, McPherson will be responsible for driving NetApp’s overall strategy in the strong performing region. He joins NetApp from Cisco, where as regional manager, he was responsible for providing solutions to government agencies and departments. His appointment at NetApp also builds on his experience as account director Service Provider Accounts, Asia Pacific at Genesys in working with service providers to develop partner relationships.
Meyer will oversee and shape the Southern Region professional services offering, leading the regional team of data storage and management experts who work alongside customers to optimise their IT efficiency and datacentre investments. Prior to joining NetApp, he worked as national operations manager at Thomas Duryea Consulting, a NetApp Platinum Partner, where he developed a strong background in customer service management.
