NetApp and IBM Cooperate to Deliver Smarter Storage Solutions for Indonesia Market

2009 - IBM (NYSE: IBM) and NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today
announced a strategic plan to drive storage solutions in the
Indonesian market.
Under the terms of the global partnership,
NetApp's original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with IBM
enables IBM to branded solutions based on NetApp's Unified Storage
platform. Through this global partnership, Indonesian customer's
will benefit from IBM'S world class data center Solutions and their
system storage N Series Family.
The N series storage family is designed to
deliver high-end enterprise storage and data management
capabilities with midrange affordability. Customers can expect
increased reliability, a simplified and unified storage
infrastructure with low maintenance, and reduced costs. The
collaboration presents a greater value proposition to existing IBM
customers who will have a choice of IBM-branded solutions based on
NetApp (TM) Unified, Fibre Channel (SAN), open network attached
storage (NAS) and iSCSI/IP SAN. It also has associated software
offerings and Gateway products that help storage access for
multi-protocol, multi-vendor storage environments.
To drive success in the OEM partnership, IBM
and NetApp have put in place dedicated resources to work on joint
opportunities, as well as a commitment towards joint marketing
activities. The joint team will work to widen its customer base
across all industries and enhance customer experience
